Great Kids

I was really humbled on Thursday. My girls were both in different places. Madison was at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz and Payton went to a presentation at the library. Imagine my surprise, when we were finally all back together that evening and, on their own accord they had done something special for each of their siblings.

Payton had checked a book out of the library for each of her siblings. Real thought was put into it. She got a Backyardigans Book for Alex and Madison, "The World of the Brain".

Madison won toys for each of her siblings. She tried really hard to win a stuffed panda for Payton(which is what Payton is really into right now- she cried when she found out they were near extinction). The guy working the game even phoned his manager so see if she could trade in some of the other things she won to get it for her (she was that passionate at trying to win it for her). All the gifts she brought home where perfect and really, it is the thought that counts.

The picture above is of the gift Payton gave Madison for her birthday. She insisted on being taken to the store (she actually had to go to 2 to find what she wanted) so Madison would have it on her birthday morning. When she found out that Dad and I weren't wrapping our gift, she ran around and found several small things to give her so Madison would have presents (with an s) to open. I am humbled at how sweet my kids are. What great kids!

Your kids do sound great. :) You're obviously doing a great job raising them. :)

That is so sweet! They must learn it from the great example they have as a mother. I'm going to share this with my girls for "Trying to Be Like Jesus" at scripture study! --CARRIE

Happy birthday Madison! You look so long and tall in your picture--maybe you are catching up to Lauren! Hope this is your best year so far! --Carrie
