Sticker Shock
And it's only going higher! (Too bad my "Low Fuel light went on again today!) Grrrr. A friend threw a scrapbooking baby shower for me when I was pregnant with Payton. One of the pages that she had people do was, "In the year 2000". One of the entries was "Gas soars to $1.50 a gallon!" I still chuckle when I read it.
It is amazing to me that the government is willing to help people purchase converters for their TV's so they can get digital cable, but people still go hungry, gas still soars, etc, etc, etc..... Priorities.

Well actually, they help them buy converter boxes to let them watch digital *broadcast* (over the air) transmissions. Cable providers will still broadcast in analog and/or provide the converter box.
