Gratitude
Payton has a wonderful Primary teacher (who was actually one of our Joy School moms.... 4 or 5 years ago... yikes). She has been doing a great job with class parties for these girls (there are 3). Monday she had a cake decorating party. The girls each brought their own cake and she made the frosting (using Ghirardelli Cocoa.... I didn't know they made Ghirardelli Cocoa... now we are in trouble!). Sister Haymore had all of the fancy Wilton tips for them to use as well. It was a dream come true for Payton.
For Family Night we are working through the "Strength of Youth" booklet. The lesson for that night just happened to be on gratitude. Once the lesson was over, we all listed 5 things we were grateful for... and you guessed it- Payton's chocolate cake make it to the top of everyone's list. It is so wonderful have a baker in the family! Thank you Payton for making and sharing your delicious cake with us!
