Our 4th of July was relatively quiet. Usually, we are running around playing but we had two things against us. The first was our impending trip to Canada (we were going to leave on Monday, July 6th) and Madison hadn't been feeling a 100% (she had been running a fever on and off and was really tired). We had decided to forgo even fireworks and go to bed early.
The kids were thrilled when we found out that we could see fireworks from our front yard! They all climbed up on our playground equipment and had a great seat to watch them. The best part was that we didn't have to deal with the traffic on the drive home. They watched in their pj's and then headed to bed. A mother's dream!
