Thursday March 25, I went and picked up my Mom, my sister and my two nieces from Canada for a Spring Break visit. They have been planning this "girls week" for a while and they came with their shopping shoes on and a Nana to babysit the little ones who haven't built up their shopping endurance (and with Alex's genes, he may never be able to handle the pace, nor even have the desire to shop).
Friday morning they were all up ready to hit the malls as soon as the doors opened. We started off at the Great Mall (which is an outlet mall here in San Jose). Payton introduce Kristi to 'Justice' her favorite 'tweener' store. Kristi will be a walking advertisement for that store for years to come! From there we went to the Gilroy outlets. The girls found all kinds of deals at Fox, Etnies, Quicksilver and many, many more stores. I even broke down and bought myself a new dress. It was so much fun. The best part of being able to see all of the girls individual styles as we shopped.
By Sunday morning we figured we had seriously depleted the Bay Area retail market and needed to head down to LA to see what was there. Kevin booked us a phenomenal deal on a hotel room walking distance from Disney. We dined at the CA pizza kitchen and then fell asleep so we could be ready to crash the Fashion District in LA the next morning.
